Zero Discrimination Day

Zero Discrimination Day - together against discrimination

00:00 / 00:00

Zero Discrimination Day was launched by UNAIDS in 2014 to draw attention to the various forms of discrimination against people living with HIV on 1 March. As Switzerland's largest platform for people living with HIV, Positive Life participates in this important anti-discrimination day. Sandrine Chapatte has been living with HIV since 1986. When she was diagnosed with HIV, no effective drugs were yet available. At the time, Sandrine Chapatte did not know how long she would live. As a cis-sexual woman living with HIV, the 56-year-old Jura native's life was characterised by multiple forms of discrimination. However, she was not discouraged. On the contrary: she has been supporting people with HIV in peer-to-peer counselling for decades thanks to her many years of experience. Together with Dominik Bachmann, legal advisor of the Swiss Aids Federation, she is part of the anti-discrimination campaign “Not like this!”
